Free piano needs a loving home!

We are trying to free up storage space at Seacourt Hall and so we are looking for a new home for our old, beautiful but a little battered B Squire & Son piano! It has seen better days – it has a loose pedal and 5 keys missing – so it’s in need of some TLC. If you might be interested please contact the hall manager Lottie on admin@seacourthall.org.uk or call 07452 960100.

Looking to get involved in the Botley community?

Seacourt Hall Management Committee (SHMC) is looking for a new Secretary and Treasurer. The role receives an honorarium of £1000 a year plus £10 a month for miscellaneous costs.

Seacourt Hall is located in West Way Square below the Library and provides modern, flexible facilities for our growing community. The hall is currently the venue for a variety of activities – from exercise classes to baby groups, from martial arts to a seniors lunch club – and can be hired for parties, meetings and more. Check out the schedule on our website www.seacourthall.org.uk

The combined role of Secretary and Treasurer would suit someone with some accounting, finance or similar experience, a good understanding of financial management and reporting.

The role of Treasurer role is to help trustees carry out their financial responsibilities. The Secretary role involves setting and minuting 4 to 6 meetings a year, being the point person for contact with the Charity commission and acting as the custodian of our governing document.

For more information please contact Lorna Berrett, Chairman of Trustees at lberrett.nhpc@gmail.com

Face masks are back!

As per Government guidance, face masks must be worn in Seacourt Hall unless an individual has an exemption. They are not required by people taking part in exercise, dancing or, in some cases, singing. Good hygiene practices, i.e., regular hand washing with sanitiser or soap and water, and, where practical, social distancing remain essential. We appreciate your ongoing support.

Seacourt Hall Mini Open Day

Please come along and see us at Seacourt Hall on Saturday 4th September, to find out about what activities and classes are going on this autumn and winter. We will be serving tea and coffee – and of course, there will be cake! The last 18 months have been somewhat….’up and down’…. so this is a really nice opportunity to catch up within the community and see what the hall has to offer.
